Step 1
Open Network and Internet from Control Panel. Click Network and Sharing Center.

Click Manage network connections.
Step 3
Select Wireless Network Connection and click Properties.
Step 4
Select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and click Properties.
Step 5
Check Obtain an IP address automatically and Obtain DNS server address automatically and click OK.
Step 6
Open Network and Internet from Control Panel. Click Connect to a network.
Step 7
Select SP8-GUEST and click Connect.
Step 8
Type the pre-shared key* in the Security key or passphrase box, and click Connect.
*The pre-shared key is available at the Users Office/Guest House Reception desk.
Upon successful PSK authentication, you should receive the message “Successfully connected to SP8-GUEST.”
Step 9
Open your web browser and go to any website beginning with http:, and you will be prompted to the login page of the Network Authentication System. Enter your Username (7-digit User Card ID number) and Password, and click Logon User.
Username: 7-digit SPring-8 User Card ID number
Password: password you created during the user registration
Step 10
After successful authentication, you will be redirected to your original destination.
You should now be able to use a web browser, email or any other application that requires a network connection.
If you are redirected back to the login screen and prompted for your username and password, it is likely that the username and/or password is incorrect. Please check both and try again.
